This collection of 64 patches spans a wide range of sounds and styles—each one very close to my heart. In addition to using Nord samples and DSP oscillators, I also sampled instruments from my own studio to capture their character and bring them into the Nord environment. That means you’re not just getting factory Nord samples—you’re getting my personal instruments, recorded with care and translated into playable patches. Inside this library, you’ll find sounds from my 1973 electric piano, acoustic upright piano, and several of my analog synthesizers.

The J3PO Prophet Rev 2 Patches – FUNK & FUSION CLASSICS is a collection of 28 presets that I designed for the Sequential Prophet Rev 2.
This is third installment of the my patch series for the Rev2—and this time, the focus is on the iconic sounds of '70s and early '80s funk, fusion, and soul. Many of the patches in this set were created when I got the call to play with Herbie Hancock for a tribute concert honoring the life of Wayne Shorter. We performed classic Weather Report material, and my job was to recreate the synth parts originally played by Joe Zawinul—bringing those legendary sounds from Heavy Weather back to life, while Herbie led the band on piano and Rhodes.
The following year, I was invited again—this time for the 50th anniversary of Head Hunters. That album changed music forever, and it was an unreal honor to perform it top to bottom alongside Herbie and the original Head Hunters band at the Hollywood Bowl. I designed and performed these patches for that gig, channeling the textures of Head Hunters, Thrust, and tunes like "Butterfly" and "Palm Grease."
In addition to the Herbie and Zawinul-inspired patches, you’ll also hear nods to Jan Hammer, Chick Corea, and of course, the genius of Stevie Wonder.
I hope these presets take you back to the spirit of those records—and more importantly, I hope they inspire you to create something brand new!

The “J3PO Soul and Circuitry Presets” for the free DiscoDSP OB-Xd synthesizer is a pack of presets that was made to celebrate the release of my album Soul & Circuitry, which is available everywhere online, as well as a limited run of vinyl.
In order to use these presets, you will need to download OB-Xd, which is an amazing free virtual synth created by DiscoDSP. It is a modeled on the celebrated Oberheim OB-X analog synthesizer from the 1980s.

This collection of 50 meticulously crafted presets is a love letter to the legendary world of Oberheim—synthesizers like the OB-X, OB-Xa, OB-8, OB-6, Two Voice Pro, and the Matrix-12. Every patch in this library was created exclusively using Oberheim-style components within Omnisphere and in some cases, custom samples I recorded from my own hardware Oberheim synths. For example, the “Tom Sawyer” patch couldn't be authentically recreated using Omnisphere’s synthesis alone—so I sampled it directly from the OB-X8 to capture its unmistakable character.
Oberheim synths, especially the OB-Xa, were what first made me fall in love with synthesizers. Their wide, lush stereo imaging and deeply emotional tone have always resonated with me—pads full of melancholy and warmth that seem to exist outside of time. This pack is my tribute to Tom Oberheim’s iconic work, utilizing the incredible tools Eric Persing and Spectrasonics have built for us in Omnisphere. My hope is that when you play these patches, you feel some of that Oberheim magic— even in the digital realm—and that it inspires your own musical journey the way these instruments have inspired mine.

Some of the patches provide the user with what I think of as an “ideal” but “normal” setting for the instrument (for example, “C7 Grand Piano J3”) while some of the patches explore the sonic possibilities within Keyscape (for example, “Psychedelic Rhodes”). This is a collection of 29 presets that I designed for the Sequential Fourm. This preset collection was created alongside the making of A Brief Odyssey, a full-length album that I composed and recorded using only a single prototype Fourm synthesizer and a reverb pedal. During that project, I spent countless hours exploring the instrument, discovering everything from lush ambient textures and evolving sequences to simple, highly playable sounds. This library contains 29 presets designed to showcase many different sides of the Fourm. Some patches make extensive use of the instrument’s excellent polyphonic aftertouch capabilities, while others lean heavily into its powerful sequencer.
These patches work exclusively with the Sequential FOURM Synthesizer.
